Recipe: Power Blend Protein Brownies

Here’s How to Make It…Makes 9 – Cook Time: 25 minutes

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup almond butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 scoop Truvani Chocolate Protein Powder
  • 1 tablespoon cacao powder
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ cup coconut sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 ounces dark chocolate, chopped

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease an 8×8 baking pan or line the bottom with parchment paper.
  3. Mix together all of the ingredients except the chopped chocolate.
  4. Fold in chocolate chunks and pour batter into the pan.
  5. Bake the brownies for 20-25 minutes. Let cool and enjoy!

    I was so excited to make these with my daughter today, but they all just crumbled and fell apart after I took them out of the oven! The flavor is still there, but there needs to be some more liquid to hold them together. Any tips?

      Christian – I’ve had this happen to me before with protein powder based recipes. I find that if the batter seems dry before baking I need to add more liquid. Maybe try apple sauce or avocado oil?
